Fort Concho was established in 1867 and is one of the best-preserved frontier forts in the American West. Today it is a National Historic Landmark in the heart of San Angelo.
As the fort's Official Drummer, Dr. Shuey plays an original 1867 drum at living history events, giving visitors the sound of military music on the Texas frontier.
